Your insights brought me my own, namely the idea that organizations who TRULY want to improve their worker morale and matching productivity levels must invest in solutions that make workers' work tangible to them. They need to show employees the end result of their labor, and show PRECISELY how that labor fits into the company or agency's larger mission. A plus of this kind of analysis is that it reveals what the actually redundant (aka bullshit) jobs are while amplifying the potential of the non-redundant ones.
