This puts to words so much of what I've witnessed throughout my life so far. I've been privileged enough that my own experiences have been comparatively minor, but so many of my female friends have lived their lives authentically only to be constantly, relentlessly "doubted" for their own obvious truths.
I find it hard to believe that sexist, abusive men and their allies truly "doubt" the veracity of our experiences on a deeper level. They're uncomfortable with them, and after millennia of society catering to men's comfort, they have forgotten how to handle that feeling. They choose not to, and instead hurl doubt and accusations at us for the radical act of...what? Existing? Being hurt?
No more. My generation and others are standing up to this absolute atrocity of doubt and minimization. Bastards can "doubt" us all they want, but they will never again hold us back or get away with hurting us. We are going to ensure consequences one way or another. Thank you for writing this and feeding my fire once again!
