The goals of the current labor movement align well with the *idea* of self-employment, but self-employment still exists within a system that’s rigged. Those who “fail” at being a creator may simply be on their own trajectory toward a fairer workplace, strong labor protections, and a more equitable economic model. Maybe these shorter term experiences as creators will fuel their future successes as advocates. That’s what I hope, at least!
