A Real Argument For Why Porn Should Be Outlawed; Or At The Very Least, Heavily Regulated
It’s time we stop lying to ourselves and face the very real, very tangible facts about how pornography is destroying lives.
Pornography is normalized. Just the headline I chose for this article is likely to bring about sidelong glances, laughter, judgment, and anger. Why wouldn’t it? Porn is normal, yeah?
Everyone watches it. Dads, moms, brothers, friends, boyfriends, girlfriends — and if everyone does something, it’s absurd to say it’s wrong, right?
I didn’t come to my “radical” opinion about pornography overnight, though. Most people who are anti-porn don’t wake up one day and decide they’re going to go on a crusade, and I’m no exception.
This journey was an educated one, born of hours of research and study, personal experience, and careful listening to firsthand accounts of the unparalleled power pornography has to destroy people’s lives and happiness all across the globe.
Porn should be outlawed because it’s hurting people. Porn should be outlawed because it’s killing people. And, ultimately, porn should be outlawed because people are clearly incapable of self-regulating an industry that has grown to monstrous…
