In cases like this, I find that the deeper cause of whatever "evil" people are experiencing is the injustice which started it. A horrible array of men and ignorant townspeople murdered innocent people for a bevy of evil, selfish reasons. Until the descendants of those townspeople or representatives of the town offer amends of some sort and condemn the man/men who did this injustice along with any of their female accomplices, the incidents will likely continue.
