I'm writing an unrelated article about accountability right now, and this piece only reinforced my feelings on the matter - men NEED to be held forcefully, socially accountable for their actions (and oftentimes the lack thereof). Conversations like this are their only hope of ascending past abject mediocrity...a realm that, sadly, many have been content to exist in for most of their lives.
