I'm very fortunate to have a man who fits this description as my partner - despite how challenging it can be for him (not saying he needs a big gold star for this) because of a HIGHLY traditional Arab background. He's the quintessential protector-provider, but he's never seen my own success as a threat to that or any reason to feel secure. He's absolutely thrilled every time I put a sentence on a page!

This bragging has a purpose, I swear: don't settle. And this doesn't mean you have to wait years and years to find that one truly "woke" guy to complete you, it means raise your standards sky-high RIGHT NOW and you'll probably meet him within a year.
