I feel that more and more people are learning to intuitively see the mask for what it is, no matter which iteration the racist is wearing. There’s this vague, oft-dismissed sense of disingenuousness mixed with “but we both know what he/she REALLY means” when you’re talking to a mask-wearer, and it’s hard to pin down but increasingly harder to totally ignore. I thought you encapsulated this sensation well and brought home the “ick” or “what have I done to be brought into this person’s BS aura” feeling that tends to arise when you have to deal with maskers.

Also, I f***ing love your writing style and I hope you never stop publishing!
